About
Chestnut Ridge Foam
Formed
in August, 1986 Chestnut Ridge Foam was initially
a combination of the best minds from two previous
companies: the Toyad Corporation and Latrobe Foams
Co., Inc. This literally placed over one hundred
years of experience in the foam manufacturing
industry under one roof, where the possibilities
were endless.
From
the first, Chestnut Ridge was considered the industry
"expert" when it came to the manufacture of fire-resistant,
low smoke generating foams. Over the years, we've
progressed from low smoke polychloroprene (neoprene)
to our neoprene based hybrid cushioning and continue
intense research and development in an effort
to offer the best products possible to the marketplace.
We've developed fire-resistant cushioning which
exhibits excellent physical properties, as well
as neoprene foams which are lighter in weight
than ever before possible.
What's
in Chestnut Ridge Foam's future? Even as you read
this, we are working on lighter fire-resistant
foams (specifically for the aircraft industry),
more comfortable mattress constructions, and unique
cushioning designs to enable long-term healthcare
patients to rest more comfortably with less chance
of developing painful bedsores.
An
old Italian proverb says "It is not enough to
aim, you must hit". That is Chestnut Ridge Foam's
goal for now and the future
to aim for the
best, and to achieve that goal to the benefit
of our customers.
